Enactment of rules: Rules of the club shall be made and enforced by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are the only persons eligible to vote on or change any rules. Amendments may be introduced in writing by any member in good standing. The amendment will be acted upon at the next meeting of the Board of Directors.
Fire: Obey all fire control rules. All members must practice good fire prevention. All members are responsible for their own conduct relating to this rule.
Timber: No cutting of timber.
Fire Arms: No rude or reckless discharging of fire arms. No sighting in or target practice on Lease at any time.
Chambered rounds: No discharging of any firearms at anytime, from any moving vehicle. No chambered round shall be in the gun until one's stand is reached. This is a safety precaution for everyone. This rule will be strictly enforced.
Laws: Obey all local, state and federal laws.
Membership: Club members shall be defined as: payee, spouse and minor children. Children over 18 may hunt under their parent's membership provided he/she lives at home and is a full-time student, or in the Armed Forces (excluding the Reserves). Proof of such must be made available at time of Lease payment. No guest allowed.
Alcohol, Controlled substance, Language: No alcoholic or intoxicating beverages and/or controlled substances allowed on the Lease. No loud or abusive language will be tolerated.
Rule Violation: Any violation of By-laws or Rules is subject to disciplinary action by the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors reserves the right to probate, suspend, fine or expel anyone in violation of these rules.
Rule Violation: Each member is urged hereby to agree that he/she will not violate the Rules of the club, and further to agree to report any violation to the President or any member of the Board of Directors.
Identification: Members must have their I.D. Cards with them at all times and upon request be able to show them. Members encountering strangers shall check their I.D. Cards.
Rights of Lessee: It is directly understood that the Lessee has no ownership rights, nor will it claim any such rights.
Responsibility: Each member of the club, individually and collectively, hereby agrees that the Lessor and Lessee shall not be held responsible for any accident that may occur, and each member hereby forfeits all of his rights, title and interest of every character, kind, whatsoever for any accidents as against the above mentioned. Each member likewise will be held responsible in every way for his family while on the lease.
Camp site: All campsites must be left clean.
Membership Fees: Membership fees are to be paid by March 1st of each year. Any member failing to pay by this date will lose their membership. No Exceptions!
Lease roads: No driving or walking the roads at random, near other hunter's stands.
Stands/Minor stands: Each member is allowed 2 stands or ladders. All stands must have member's name on stand. After a youth has reached the age of 14, he may hunt alone in a stand, provided the stand is near parent's stand.
Stands: All stands must be in their hunting locations prior to the opening of Archery season. A sign with your name and hunting year should be placed where you intend to put your stand.
Stands: No member shall hunt another members stand without signed written permissionstating the days the permission is granted. The permission must be in the hunter's possession while hunting.
Stands: No stand shall be placed within 300 yards of another member's stand. No stand shall be placed without prior permission from a Director, President or Vice President.
Members not returning: Members not renewing their lease must have their stand(s) out by March 1st. After this date stands will become property of the Board of Directors. If you know you will not be renewing your membership you must notify a director as soon as possible so you can recover your stand and allow us time to fill your space.
Archery: Bow hunting stands are allowed near your gun stand or feeder for bow hunting only.
Squirrel hunting: Spring hunt: According to state laws Fall hunt: Squirrel hunters will not be allowed within 300 yards of another members stand within 14 days of open season deer hunting.
Trophy Buck Harvesting: No more than one trophy buck per hunter can be harvested. Trophy buck deer must have an inside spread of 13 inches or greater and a minimum of 6countable antler points in order to be harvested. A countable point is defined as any point at least 1" in length approx. Killing a trophy buck deer having less than an inside spread of 13 inches and a minimum of 6 countable antlers points could result in a fine or expulsion from the club.
Cull Buck Harvesting: This is a buck having at least one unbranched antler. It must be a mature, yet inferior deer. NO YEARLING'S ARE ALLOWED TO BE KILLED. An old spike buck, or a buck with one unbranched antler and one branched antler is allowed. This new rule will allow one "cull buck" per membership, not per hunter.
Doe Harvesting: A maximum of two does per hunter (according to state law). No more than three does may be harvested under a family membership. Example: If you have a spouse, and three minor kids, your family cannot harvest more than three does combined.
Every hunter must register his or her license number (before ever hunting) and deer kills (as soon as they are tagged and field dressed) in the red records box at Jeff Denman's, 4 miles north of Votaw on FM 2798. Failure to do so can result in expulsion from the club!
The Board of Directors request that each member be and hold himself responsible to see that all rules are adhered to. Likewise, each member is urged to lend his cooperation in every way possible. If there is something in the rules you do not understand, you should contact a director for a full explanation.
